of nice food in Geylang... | princessMic on Xanga

Geylang closely link with red color district in Singapore. If you think Geylang is only a red color district, you will go terribly wrong. Geylang is also a food haven!  like those hokkien mee, frog leg porridge..etc, they are all found in Geylang. of cos, it is always safer to go there in groups else probably people might mistaken u as..erhmm..

anyway, i seriously cant remember which lor this coffee shop is, i think it should be in Lor 9 or 11. just one lor before the hokkien mee. the coffee shop is a very old one facing the street. always fully packed with people during lunch time and dinner time. they are very famous for their steam fish head and tou fu. when i was there, everybody seems to be ordering the same dishes. haha

the price is alittle steep i would say. approximately 20 bucks per person for dishes below.

water crest soup - very well cooked. seems that they cook them for a long long time and the soup is very tasty.

stirred fried hongkong kai lan - the vegetable is very fresh and crunchy

steam fish head - they use fresh water fish (song fish head). it doesnt give the funny smell when u eat it. normally fresh water fish will give u a funny taste like as if you are eating soil but this dont. the serving for the fish head is quite huge too

toufu with prawn. i like this. i dont normally eat those tou fu that is slightly hard. i always love tou fu to be soft but this one, i love it!

i will try to get hold of the address again and update here if i remember hehe
