it really took me quite awhile before i set my determination to get my A** back to books, although it is only a 4 day course plus 1 major exam. i have been pondering over the idea of getting a PMP cert actually. then i decided to do so mainly becos1. seriously, i want to know what PMP is all about -> bullshit. i took a short course on this when i was in singtel. just that it is not enough for me to get myself certified for that. haha.since i already know a little basic, might as well go tru the whole damm thing right?
2. Work requirement -> ya. my job title states i am a business analyst. Project manager is my functional role. so..this is it...i want to know more about project management and want to move on to project management..so i can do better in my job..so fake right? haha
3. career requirement -> well saying that i took a look at all the JD nowadays, many requires PMP certified. so here i m..trying to fit into their basic requirement..nah..i m not looking for a job..just looking around haha.who knows, i can be a full time project manager? bah.probably one day my boss will tell me, "hey, u know what? BA needs to be PMP" then i will flash my cert infront of him ( if i get it lah) and say.."i m!"
4. encouragement from friends -> ya. encouragement from peers is important. i got a gang of friends who wanted to take PMP with me..then suddenly when i register for the course, i realize that i am the only one taking it. FML. nevertheless, i still got someone who can also study with me cos he is taking his CFA
well, having said that, i have to get my ass bk to my studies already. hopefully i can clear my PMP soon. =P
