my first try and it is a success! i just follow the recipe. Yes, is just that easy! the only difference is i used pineapple paste bought off the shelve instead of cooking the paste myself
here is how u do it
ingredient A
140g butter
ingredient B
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
2 tbsp water
ingredient C (sift)
230g plain flour
1/4 baking powder
ingredient D(filling)
1 Pineapple
50g coarse sugar
2 clover
method
1. blend the pineapple, add in coarse sugar and clover. cook until dry
2. beat ingredient A until creamy
3. add in ingredient B and mix well
4. add in ingredient C and mix well
5. cut the above dough into equal portion, each portion weight 14g. wrap 6g of pineapple filling in small dough
6. carve some pineapple design on the dough with pair of scissors
7. brush the top with a layer of egg, bake at 170 degrees in a pre heated oven for 18 mins
cooking tips
sieve away the pineapple juice first so that it would take a shorter time to cook
