many people whom i know gone to bali before and tell me about how wonderful the place is. nice beach, sun and the sand and the sea kind of life. well, i took this chance to go bali on my birthday. a trip to remember. my first time taking QATAR airline, first time been to bali and first time using a PEN to pen my bali trip (sadly, it got some scratches, hopefully Gmask will help in the end)
lets talk about QATAR airline. i got this very cheap deal from zuji.com.sg. 600 per pax for the bali trip inclusive of airport tax, air tickets and 2 nights stay in ASTON BALI SPA and Resort. the airline service is good. leg room is quite spacious. overall i would say i will wan to take QATAR again. got TV to watch. probably it has been a long time since i last travel in economy flights..normally i travel by budget flights haha.
i managed to finish watching "I am number four} and "tangled" on my way there n back haha. it is about a 2 + hr flight to bali. departure at 430pm from singapore and i reach about 7+ pm at bali.
they serve u refreshment towels and i like economy flights cos they serve meals too but if u are takin of taking dinner then is a wrong move liao =(. i was so fulled that i cant stuff anything in after i checked in to the hotel.

frankly speaking we are kinda disappointed with the resort cos it looks so much different from what we see on the net. =X but the room is huge and enuff to house 4 pax in total. we opt for the ocean view suit..ehh..we dont really get to see the ocean cos alot of trees blocking
first dinner - not so nice @ coconut bistro...i feel the food is a little overpriced. although i quite like to eat street food, but this time round i skipped.
like i say, my first dinner is really bad. cos i am too full to eat anymore food =(. very typical dishes like mee goreng, satay and tom yam soup for sharing
we din really explore much as the streets looks alittle scary as nt much street lights and shops open so is quite dark
well, for this trip, we book our driver Mr Agus from I wayan Agus Antara ( tour driver & transport service)

he is a very nice guy who drives us around during our bali trip. he charges 400,000 IRP for 1 day ( 8hrs) and during this trip, we exceeded the timing and he din charge us extra. good service!
first volcano visit to mt batur. approx 3 hrs drive there. nothing much except volcano and hot spring. u need to pay entrance fee to visit the volcano and also for hot spring too. for hot spring, we dont experience the sulphur smell as it has already been processed. so we feel like soaking our selves in hot water only. however, u can pay for a body massage that is in the open air, enjoying the scenary of the lake and volcano.unless u want to do hiking or like to take photograph of scenery , else i say u can save the money haha
next we went to eat BABI Guleng - highly recommended by my col!!
next we went to kuta for some shopping before we headed down to Jimbaran for dinner by the sea

a nice experience to have but we really cannot see what we ate cos is too dark haha. the food is ok and reasonable price too. about 35 Sgd per pax. btw, sweet corn is not included and is really yummy. i still kinda miss the taste..drool
so it marks the end of our day 1 trip in Bali. we started the next day with sea sport activities. had our first time in parasailing and sea walker. we had our first sea sick too haha. we took some pictures using the disposable camera and we have yet develop the pictures so will post them once we develop them =). i would say it is a very nice experience minus the sea sick. haha
after that, we headed down for some shopping @ duty free where i bought my miss conduct oakley sunglasses at 187 USD. hehe. a real steal too
we had our lunch at mister baso - their fast food noodle store. a little new concept i think . we seldom see fast food selling noodles in singapore. however, the servings is really small and their variety is limited. only chicken meat balls and beef meat balls

then we headed down for a full body massage. we took the package for 65 USD per pax for 1 hr body massage + 1 hr body scrub + milk bath . managed ask for a big discount too haha. a real steal

we had flying gurame (fish)! this is yummy...then chendol is very special too. they added chempelak in it ..
overall the experience is ok. bali will always be the short getaway for me but i dont think i will go there near future for now. hmm. now is time for me to plan my yr end trip perhaps?
