Dim sum has become one of my fav food (other than steamboat and also Ramen) lol. we do occasionally go yumcha during weekends. good dim sum in Singapore is really hard to find especially i benchmark them against those i had in Hongkong and Macau. Yan Palace is one of the restaurant that we usually go for dim sum. u actually need to call to book as the place is usually pack. if you are walk-in customers, u probably need to wait for 10-20 mins (longest i waited).
the price of the dim sum is very reasonable and the bill for the day is 90 bucks for 3 pax. so on average is 30 bucks per pax.
other than dim sum, they also got side dishes, their pig trotters in vinegar is really gd! i love it. according to LL, it is a Hakka delicacy? oooo..i must learn how to cook them lo. yumz
other dim sum dishes we had
their century egg porridge is really good! even a non-century egg taker will not giv this amiss lo
siew mai. stuffed with pork.
crispy prawn roll. this is a must everytime we go dim sum lo.
har gao. prawn dumpling. my favourite! the skin is not thick n soggy. just nice.
handmade chee cheong fun. we will never forget to order this! a must for dim sum! comes with scallops / prawns / char siew!
