Gluten free food items are getting very popular nowadays and especially among the health conscious people. I started to know about gluten free products is when i started baking for Faith. haha. so i did some research on baking for Faith and found that gluten free is actually quite good for health. Glee is a very retro cafe that located in Toa Payoh Central Community Centre. They are 100% gluten free and their ingredients are mostly imported and organic! So you can safe wholesome and hearty meals! Their cafe is newly open and they are still trying to "beef" up their menu but they are serve mostly western food like salad, pasta and sandwiches.
So today i shall introduce you to their gluten free banana bread!
Banana Bread @ $5
the banana bread is pretty dry from the inside and is very sweet. According to the lady boss, they only use very ripe bananas and also they added raisins in it which explains why it is so sweet. From my experience of using gluten free flour, usually it is pretty dry and unless you use alot of butter. For health reasons, this bread is pretty healthy haha. also i prefer mine to serve with ice cream but they are just newly open, so we only get blue berries instead but it taste just as good. =)
I would definitely return to try out other food items on their menu.
